Beads are my Best Friend

I've done beading since I was in grade school and I've always loved making accessories with them. Here are a few of the beaded necklaces I've made before. Usually my clients now would just select the color/s that they want (they can choose 1-2 colors), say a few requests like using ribbon instead of chains or make them a smaller version or something and I'll do the rest for them.

Celebrating our First!

Happy 1st Fiesta, Padre Pio Parish! We just celebrated our first parish fiesta last Sept. 22-23. We had banderitas, family fun run, food, and of course, bazaar!

Aside from keeping ourselves busy with our booth, we were also busy eating. I was really stuffed! We ate pancit, adobo with rice, palitaw, sago't gulaman, squid balls, banana cake and oatmeal cookies. Sarap! :) Coca-Cola was nice enough to sponsor the booths for the bazaar and here's mine:

ID Necklace for sale! For office or school use.
A lot of people liked this necklace! Gotta make some more!
Sam, who bought the necklace above. Lucky girl! :)

Sequined rings
Nels was also there, helping me watch our booth. She also tried out some items.

Dulce Necklace. I named it after my mama. Sweet like caramel.
Take your pick: bracelets or earrings?
Different kinds of necklaces
Mama was also there to support me. Even paraded around the bazaar area wearing my designs to promote them!
Browsing through a magazine while taking a rest from work.

Various necklaces hanging for display
Another lucky buyer who bought a violet_white hair pin. :)

Stoned. You can customize your beaded necklace by choosing your preferred center stones and color/s here.
And you'll have something like this^
More bazaars in the future! Or you can just go here > Roma Amor to view my designs.

:) Peace!

Origami Blues

In my first Craft Soiree experience, I got this cute origami box from Mikko as a packaging for her raffle items. I liked it so much that I immediately grabbed the box from the raffle prize pile! :D

The itrydiy box is from Mikko, while the other three are the ones that I made.

On that night, I started to study the box, on how she made it and I started to unravel the folds. On my first try, it wasn't really good since I used a thick cardboard which was very hard to fold. So I tried it again on a thinner paper and made the red one on the photo.

I was happy with my newly acquired talent (haha!!) that I made two more. And right now I'm itching to do more and planning to make this as packaging for future gifts and for my online shop Roma Amor.

I've always loved paper and the art of origami since I was in grade school. I remember, my classmates before would ask me to make them the fortune telling style origami (don't know the exact name, hope you know what I mean) and I would boast about my paper-folding skills.

And now I'm excited for my niece's 1st birthday party, she's having a Japanese-theme and my sister plans to have origami cranes as the table center-piece! And of course I'm doing it! Haha!! Sooo excited! Would post about it soon!

Rediscovering Intramuros and Hazel&Benjo PreNup Photoshoot

I ain't getting married. I just rented out some of my accessories for this prenup shoot. (just so you know!) And it was an amazing, creative and nostalgic day!

An ex-officemate of mine, Leo, asked me if I could help him with his friend's Pre Nuptial photo shoot with the accessories of the bride, Hazel. Seeing this as a opportunity and a challenge, I gladly accepted it. The photoshoot took place in Intramuros. I haven't really went around Intramuros except during field trips in my childhood years in Fort Santiago (which is just a part of Intramuros), so when I came there it was like a whole new discovery for me.

Our first location is in Baluarte de San Diego, which is one of the corners of Intramuros. It is a really beautiful and cinematic place.

Hazel and Benjo are even game to lie down in dirt! :)

I didn't have much photos in the 2nd location, which is in Puerta _____. (sorry, forgot which one since there are a lot Puertas in Intramuros. (and yes, you read it right, it is Puerta.)
Kayo na ang in love! :D

The 3rd location is in Casa Manila. Really nice place!! You should visit this place!

Audrey Hepburn inspired look. Hazel with Roma Amor two-tone layered bead necklace and pearl bracelets. I also lend her my black cocktail ring.
Sigh, wish I have something like this in my house! :)

Totally in love!

Ikaw na girl! Ang haba ng hair mo! :)

Fountain of love?

Our videographer who gamely posed for us. :)

It is only here in Intamuros where you'll see the guards dressed as guardia civil. And he was willing enough to pose with the couple.

And the last location is this grafitti art area. I don't know which street it is but it's near the San Agustin Church. There was drizzle that day but that didn't stopped us to continue with the photoshoot. The concept for this one is cool, mixing the clean look of the couple with the graffiti art as their background.

We even got this guy to pose with the couple. :)

Galit-galit muna.. lol!

It was really a fun and creative experience for me. And I would like to thank Leo, Hazel and Benjo for inviting me to be a part of their Pre Nuptial photoshoot. And unexpectedly, I got to rediscover Intramuros and appreciate those places that was once part of our history.
